1.800MD is seeking positive, dynamic and energetic Member Service Specialists. ย In this fast-paced role, the training and tools provided will enable you to deliver exceptional customer service to our members and ensure an excellent member experience.
- Job Description:
- Taking inbound and/or outbound calls daily to ensure timely response to members request for assistance.
- Effectively and efficiently assign consultations between members and providers
- Acts as primary contact in understanding and responding to customer needs. Responds to customer inquiries expeditiously, offering alternatives and striving towards first call resolution.
- Proactively anticipates problems, and effectively solves them before they become major issues.
- Interacting with other departments to obtain information and resolve outstanding member and/or client issues.
- Prepares clear and concise notes of all customer encounters.
- Member Service Representative Ideal Requirements:
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Knowledge of healthcare and medical terminology is preferred.
- High School Diploma plus 2 yearsโ college or Associates degree, preferred.
- Ability to process large volume of transactions.
- Exercise the ability to remain cool under pressure, be organized and multi task while developing and maintaining a rapport with customers.
- Attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain sensitive and confidential information and ensuring HIPAA compliance.
- Must be resourceful and technology savvy to utilize multiple computer applications simultaneously. Proficiency with MS Office suite, internet research and basic typing skills.
